A man is receiving medical care after he was bitten by an alligator in North Augusta over the weekend. (WRDW/WAGT) – A triathlon coach says instinct and training kicked in when a 4‑ to 5‑foot alligator latched onto his arm during an IRONMAN practice swim in the Savannah River.
