Kurdish women who fought ISIL seek place in Syria’s new security forces

Following the SDF’s dissolution, the Kurdish all-women YPJ is seeking to preserve its combat role in Syria. Its commanders want more than 1,500 fighters to join Interior Ministry special forces as Damascus moves to bring armed groups under state control.
