Members of the coalition gathered Sunday to maintain the site, breaking down rocks and building retaining walls around the base of the limestone cliffs to keep the area clear, safe, and accessible. “We’re harvesting the surrounding rock on the ground, and then, building up trails so that they will last,” said Jake DeVoulder, vice president of the Iowa Climbers Coalition.
