With DC Public Schools back in session this week, Mayor Muriel Bowser kicked off the 2026-27 school year by highlighting newly modernized facilities at J.O. Wilson Elementary in Ward 6 and Barnard Elementary in Ward 4 — two of the latest projects carried out as part of nearly $5 billion spent on school facilities since 2015.
