Two years after losing Ryker to Batten disease, the Pfingsten family was surrounded by neighbors and first responders Friday for a celebration of life and fundraiser for Make-A-Wish Nebraska. The event took place in front of a south Lincoln home known for its giant painted American flag honoring veterans and the painter’s father.
