The Las Vegas Raiders will bring 91 players to training camp this week and 53 to their regular-season opener Sept. O’Connell, hopeful to become a starter again, could be the gameday backup (or a spot starter if Cousins, soon to turn 38, is injured or unavailable) early in the season as Mendoza readies – or traded if the future franchise quarterback is ahead of schedule.
