A federal judge has tossed out a Trump administration lawsuit against sanctuary policies in Newark, Jersey City, Hoboken and Paterson. Department of Justice in 2025, claimed the cities' sanctuary policies unlawfully interfered with federal immigration enforcement by limiting cooperation between local police and federal immigration authorities.
